I had a little trouble at first and had to scrap my first attempt. But my second card was much better and here it is…

I had a good think about whether to use patterned paper for the 3 blocks on the sketch. After a browse through my stamp sets I came across Timeless Textures. The patterned blocks would be perfect – after all…this is my interpretation of the sketch and I like to think outside of the box.

To make things easier I used a pre-made A6 card I had in my stash. You can make your own with a piece of cardstock – Measurements are below.

As it’s the Easter weekend I thought Daffodil Delight (yellow) would be a nice colour to use. I had two yellow circles leftover from my first failed attempt and they were laying on my desk as they are now on the card with a white circle on top. I thought that was a nice effect so I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Blooms set onto the white circle. All the circles in this cluster are from the 2″ circle punch. Perfect if you haven’t got a range of circles to choose from (like me!).

To finish the card off I used the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack and placed White Perfect Accents in the centre of each one.

Of course, I had to finish off with sponging all the sides with Daffodil Delight Ink.

  1. Thank you everyone 🙂 I had great fun making this one – after I decided what to do with the design….and I just had to make it yellow for the Easter weekend Xx
