Welcome to Week #2

A warm welcome to everyone this week – I have a super cute mini album to share with you. All the picture stamps are from the Every Occasion stamp set (this months design team stamp set).

Mini albums will take me back to the beginning of my journey with Stampin’ Up! – After watching tutorials on how to make these, I was in need of a scoring board. After a few searches I discovered the world of Stampin’ Up!  To cut a long story short I signed up as a demo before even trying any products – I have been a crafter for a number of years and I knew that I wouldn’t be sorry. And SU certainly didn’t disappoint!

Small Is Sometimes Better

So let’s fast forward back to today. The size of the pages for this album are 4″x4″ – You can trim down your photographs or print them out really small. Most printer software comes with a thumbnail/index option or I usually create a word document and add and size down my photos there. You could probably fit all the photos on an A4 piece of paper that way. Another good thing about going the mini route (other than it being cute) is that it uses minimal materials. You don’t need to use much paper and card to make these. You could even use up your scraps!

What About A Boy Album?

Want to see this album in blue and need dimensions and directions on how to make one yourself? I will be releasing a tutorial before week #3 where I will be making a boy version of this mini album. If you don’t want to miss it then please subscribe to my blog (on the right) and/or YouTube channel and you will be notified once it’s up.

Now here are the photos!

I Would Love Your Input

I have a little dilemma – I have used the Wink of Stella pen on the Baby Girl Album. Should I also use it on the stamped images for the boy album? I would love to hear what you have to say about it, so please do leave me a comment here or over on my Facebook Page. I will take this into account when I film my tutorial.

Thank you for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project. As always, I am here to answer any questions you may have. You can contact me here or via my Facebook Page.

UPDATE: The video tutorial to make this album can be found here.

  1. Lovely brag book! I make a lot of these too and this stamp set is ideal for them.

  2. What about the glassy crystal effects stuff for the boy album. Sorry forget what it’s called.

    • I’m afraid that was discontinued at the end of the last annual catalogue. It was one of my favourites but thank you for suggesting it as it has given me an idea – I could use clear embossing powder with the blue ink (there’s a special technique). HG x

  3. Absolutely fabulous project, I would love to see how you made it.

I think it’s down to personal preference regarding Wink of Stella or not. My suggestion would be to try Wink of Stella on one, glossy accents on another and leave one plain to see what you prefer.

I didn’t think much of this stamp set when I saw it in the catty but now it’s on my wish list.

    • Thank you. I will experiment with a few things and show them as I make the boy album on camera.
I also overlooked this stamp set but it hasn’t left my desk since it arrived in June. I’m creating other projects with it that aren’t part of the design team. I’ve used about 3/4 of the stamps which I think justifies owning it 🙂
