When I received my free die and stamp set with this month’s Die-Cutting Essentials (issue 25), an idea popped into my head. Why not cut all these shapes out in felt to play with? I remember a happy childhood, spending hours playing with Fuzzy Felt.
I went straight to Ebay and ordered a pack of 25 assorted A4 sheets of felt (only £6.10!). I already had 2mm thick A4 chipboard (for the base boards) and everything else that I needed. Then I had to wait for the postman to deliver my felt…luckily the wait was short and it arrived the next day.
The tutorial is down below and my children’s hands appear a few times – they wanted to help and couldn’t wait to play with it. They had hours of fun playing and changing the scenes around. I will always look at dies differently now, as I will probably want to make more felt shapes and add to the collection! I’m on the lookout for dinosaurs and spaceships 🙂
I have stored all the shapes in empty Stampin’Up! cases. They are DVD sized and come in a pack of 5. They will also fit perfectly on the shelf and easy to tidy away. These will certainly be useful on a rainy day or taking away with you.

I remember,when I was in school, people would do Felt Board Presentations in the auditorium as entertainment. They had all this felt pieces and would tell stories seamlessly. It was amazing. My teachers would set up Felt Boards in the classroom and the students would solve problems in felt! It was Fun.
