Springtime #1 Hydrangea Card With Free Stamps From Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine

Welcome to the first episode of my new Springtime Series! I have been so excited for this series to start and working just as hard on all the projects.

So, for day one I am starting with one of my favourite flowers – the hydrangea. The stamp set I used for this was a freeeeebie and came with Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine 160 (details are down below). I love hydrangea stamps and I’m building up quite a collection! That makes me happy 🙂

I took my inspiration from a trip to Gardeners World Live back in 2014. I went with my very good friend Jo and we both fell in love with a hydrangea called Black Diamond. It had the most amazing purple flowers and very dark green (almost black) foliage and stems. I kept the green quite normal for my card, but the Black Diamond Hydrangea will be featured again soon, with all the dark foliage!

Here’s one I made with Rose Red (Stampin’Up!) ink…
