Merry Mice Night Snow Scene Christmas Card – Blender Pen Technique

I absolutely adore how well this card has turned out and those little mice are so cute! I’m going to need a little more practice, but this isn’t bad for my first time using this technique.

This card was surprising easy to make. I stamped the image onto watercolour paper with archival black ink and made the night sky effect by using a sponge dauber in long sweeping motions – first starting with tempting turquoise and then night of navy. I allowed the colours to get lighter towards the bottom.

I then used Stampin’Up!’s blender pens with my ink pads (squeeze your pad and then use it as a pallet) to colour in the mice. Blender pens are perfect if you don’t have many pens for colouring. I finished the night sky with a splattering of Clear Wink of Stella – I brushed the tip of the brush against a fingernail.

If you would like me to make this into a YouTube tutorial, please let me in the comments below and if I get many requests, then I shall do that this month.

Thank you for dropping by today. If you have enjoyed this card, please subscribe to my blog on the right and/or my YouTube channel so you don’t miss any future projects. I have a few more Christmas ones and a gift idea on the way. You can also find me on Facebook 🙂

Hostess Code Club – do you like free gifts?

All orders over £25 (before shipping & handling) & using this month’s Hostess Code at checkout will receive a Hostess Gift from me. If your order is over £150, please do not use this code – you can claim your own Stampin’ Rewards.
All online orders under £150 will collect Stampin’ Rewards (free product) throughout the month. Your order is processed as normal, with it being delivered to your house as usual, so nothing changes there. But, at the end of the month, I close off the code and work out how many people have placed orders and divide the total Stampin’ Rewards between them all, making sure that everyone has exactly the same products.

However, the more people who join the code, the higher the rewards go because everyone is pulling together towards a common goal!

This month’s code can be found at the top right of this page or on the home page
