Tutorial | Clean & Simple Card & Handy Hints

Regardless of the term ‘clean & simple’, some of us really do have trouble keeping things simple and understated. Here is how to not keep adding and keeping it clean.

What is Clean & Simple?
As the term suggests, it means making your project with very little layers, busyness or fussy details. So, lots of white space (this doesn’t have to be white) and simple stamping and embellishing. This doesn’t mean boring – if you like bold colours, then make a statement piece. Just don’t add lots of them and preserve the white space.

For today’s card I have used 2 layers, 1 embellishment and 1 stamped sentiment – nothing extra and lots of white space. I set these criteria before I started and I made sure I didn’t break any of them.

I challenge you to do the same! It’s fun trying out a new style and setting criteria/rules/materials will really help.
