Welcome Everyone!

I am thrilled to be taking part and contributing in July’s Pootler’s Design Team. After Pootles announced the stamp set we would be receiving, I grabbed my sketch pad and started work on my ideas. I wanted to be ready as soon as the stamp set hit the door mat. There are four of us in July’s team and we will all be sharing four projects (one a week) each. The stamp set chosen for this month is Every Occasion and can be found on page 110 of the annual catalogue or click on the link in the supply list at the bottom of this page.

Break a Leg!!

For my first project I decided to make a good luck collection. I suspect the four leaf clover in the set is supposed to be for St Patrick’s Day but I thought it would also be perfect for a good luck theme. If you are wondering why one of my cards reads BREAK A LEG!! – it means good luck before going on stage or such. It doesn’t actually mean…break a leg! Although it would be quite apt if you gave this card and they did break a leg. Erm…sorry about that leg thingie *goes to craft desk to make a get well soon card without any funny sayings*.

Good Luck Gift Bags

Because it is always nice to give a little something with your card. Perfect for a teacher leaving for a different school (and in my case it will be used for my Son’s teacher who is leaving at the end of term). I have filled these boxes with chocolate balls wrapped in gold foil. These can easily be bought from Amazon (mine were).
I will be making a YouTube tutorial on how to make these gift bags. If you would like to watch it, please subscribe to my blog on the right hand panel so you don’t miss it.

*UPDATE – You can find the video tutorial here*

See You Next Week

I hope you have enjoyed week #1 of Pootler’s Design Team projects and I hope to see you next week for week #2. I will leave you with a hint – it’s something made in miniature and will make the perfect gift.

Bye for now,
HG x
