Happiest Of Birthdays To You – Watercolour Birthday Blooms

As you may have noticed…I really like this stamp set! Especially watercolouring the beautiful rose. The way I see it is this – we spend good money on these stamp sets and I like to get as much use out of them as possible. I see it as my job to share with you as many ideas as I can so you can get as much use out of them too.

Fussy Cutting

So today’s card has started out with watercolouring and fussy-cutting it out. I used to really hate fussy-cutting but those were the days when I didn’t have the right scissors for the job. I actually quite enjoy it now, although our snips are very sharp and I have to keep plasters (band aids for those in the US) under my desk. And yes, I’ve had to reach for them a few times – but having easy cut outs is worth it! I also keep a pair in my sewing kit for snipping threads.

So for this card I decided to cut some of the flowers and leaves out and have them raised up on dimensionals (small foam pads).

I hoped you enjoyed another variation on the Birthday Blooms stamp set. As Always, please contact me if you have any questions regarding today’s project.
